Samuel Bertram

Samuel is the CoFounder and CEO of OnePointOne. In San Jose, CA, OnePointOne (OPO) has developed the most advanced indoor farming system in the world. Combining proprietary robotics, AI and plant-cultivation technology, OPO grows a wide variety of fruits and vegetables using 99% less land and water, with zero soil, pesticides or heavy metals. By building OPO's automated vertical farms in every major city on earth, they aim to unlock global fresh-food e-commerce, biopharmaceuticals and diet-based preventative healthcare. OPO's mission is to eliminate diet-related disease through personalized plant-based foods and medicines. Samuel graduated from Santa Clara University in 2016 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and in 2018 with a M.S. in Robotics and Mechatronics. While at Santa Clara, Samuel was involved in the creation of an autonomous marine vessel as well an autonomous omnidirectional robot. Samuel’s Master’s Capstone Project was the origin of OnePointOne.
